Nothing but Pianello on my mind. Sunshine in my face, my eyes keep wandering from luscious, green meadows, over the Lake Como surrounded by colorful villages and mountains [ still ] with snow-capped tops. Laying in a deckchair and savouring that feeling of arriving somewhere and immediately forgetting everything else. Sitting and admiring. Pure dolce vita! You don’t need anything, but maybe a glass of prosecco or two.
Natural fabric dyeing with flowers and plants, creating something beautiful and unique by giving flowers a second life. Ideas like this, that are born over coffee and granola bowls with my lovely and inspiring friend Alba. And ideas that are born today need to be tried and tested tomorrow. This is how it goes with many ideas. Almost too many 🙂
A road trip in Andalusia
Naming 4 of the most beautiful cities in Andalusia, Spain is actually a daunting task as Andalusia is full of beauty! Travelling Andalusia is especially magical in October when tourism is gone and temperatures are still reaching a summery level. When the white villages and the endless empty turquoise sandy beaches reveal its natural beauty and sparkle. Making a road trip is probably the best thing you can do: Going with the flow, day by day to beachside towns or mountain hamlets, whereever it takes you. Relaxing, hanging, soaking up the warm autumn sun and pampering us with delicious tapas! The journey started in Sevilla, took us to Jerez de la Frontera, Cádiz, Vejer de la Frontera, Tarifa, Jimena de la Frontera, Ronda and back to Sevilla. The perfect round trip and here’s my summery and list of 4 of the most beautiful cities in Andalusia.
4 summer highlights in Barcelona. That’s a fraction of all the adventures. It is funny how this summer somehow feels like both: so long and so short! Starting off in April when we arrived in Barcelona and since then going and flowing. Technically it is already autumn – and yes, days are getting shorter, nights chillier. But: I am still greeting the sun every morning, embracing the warmth and the slight ocean breeze [ picture me in skirt and barefoot on the terrace ]. Total happiness! While I am really looking forward to Christmas time, it makes me sad to realise this year comes to an end. Well, nothing lasts forever I guess – except for the many experiences, memories and moments I have been collecting a long the way, treasuring in my heart for ever. I am recording 4 summer highlights that spontaneously come to my mind.
It’s been a while since the last update – summer was just tooooo nice to hang out at the beach and be outside. Now that fall is approaching I am looking forward to some productive desk-time! It’s been half a year in Barcelona, in this dreamy home and glorious city. Time to look back, review the dream and take you on a home tour.
Creating, experimenting and meditating – that summarises the last weeks pretty well. Beginning of July I took a two weeks introduction course in graphic design and ever since [ when there was time ] I found myself stuck at the desk with hand lettering, designing or illustrating. This whole new world of graphic design is opening up a huge playground for shapes, colours, lines and letters. Creating and experimenting freely in this field is a blessing and something between meditation and addiction 🙂 Gotta enjoy this crea-time as long as I can!

Time flies. It’s been already two months and while typing this I am replaying the game in my head. The first month was mainly about organizing stuff, furnishing the apartment and settling down a bit. The second month was completely different and a special highlight to remember forever: Birthday fiestas for days and lots of amigos coming over from Switzerland to celebrating it right! Hence I thought it’s time to reflect and simply reminisce – plus to give you an update…
From Zurich to Barcelona. It’s been two weeks since we’ve been here and started building a new life in a new place. Most appreciated so far: Barcelona’s SUN!! Since we are here, we’ve been waking up to sunshine and blue skay e v e r y day! Except for the Sunday night when we arrived: that particular evening it was raining hahaha! It might look like we would be hanging around, relaxing and sunbathing all day – wrong! Read on to learn more about our new home and the first achievements.
The first days were pretty tough, as we’ve spent most of the time scouting and shopping of furnitures – translation: walking 758 km with 3 blisters, checking out store after store. Not that I would complain 😉 Poco a poco we’re getting there and making our new home feel cozy and comfy.
Being in a new place means walking with open eyes, observing and perceiving with all senses. Discovering every corner and detecting new favorite spots. With the sun on my face and calma in my heart. So much love, excitement and curiosity about this city!
